based on Optical Mark Recognition (OMR). The SELECTION PROCEDURE, EXAM

  Candidates may note that they are
screened-in for the written exam on the basis of online application filled by them &
inputs provided there-in, i.e., minimum essential qualification, age, reservation status,
etc. In case, if it is found that the candidate is not fulfilling the advertised norms or not
able to substantiate the online information with appropriate documentary evidence, the
candidature will be treated as cancelled, even if the candidate is qualified for further
evaluation after the written exam. Further, mere securing 32 marks (24 marks for
SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) in the written exam does not confer any rights on the
candidate to be called for Skill test. Candidates those who qualify in the written
exam, will be called in a ratio of 1:5 (5 candidates per vacancy) from the merit list

the candidate will have to decide one of the call letters against which he / she
would like to appear for the exam. The same should be brought to the notice of
PRL for further processing. However, if a candidate has applied for any one of the
posts of Technical Assistant (on Diploma basis) and any one of the posts of
Technician-B (on ITI basis), and has got two separate call letters for the written

   The written exam will be of 1.5 Hours duration. However,
compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of examination is allowed to those PwBD
candidates who are eligible for use of scribe/reader owing to their physical limitation to
write and scribe is essential to write the examination on their behalf irrespective of
whether they use the facility of scribe or not. In case of persons with benchmark
disabilities in the category of blindness, locomotor (both arm affected-BA) and
cerebral palsy, he/she is eligible for the facility of scribe/reader if so desired by
him/her and hence, eligible for compensatory time in the written examination
irrespective of whether they use the facility of scribe or not. In case of other category of
persons with benchmark disability, the provision of scribe/reader can be allowed on
production of a certificate to the effect that the person concerned has physical
limitations to write, and scribe is essential to write the examination on his/her behalf,
from the Chief Medical Officer/Civil Surgeon/Medical Superintendent of a Government
hospital as per proforma (see APPENDIX-I).

provide a scribe to candidates with benchmark disability who are eligible for use
of the facility of scribe. An eligible candidate has to arrange his/her own scribe and
the qualification of the scribe should be one step/level below the minimum qualification
required for the post for which the candidate is taking the examination and should
submit details of the own scribe as per proforma (see APPENDIX-II) to PRL,
Navrangpura, Ahmedabad-380009, so as to reach us at least 7 days prior to the date of
examination. The scribe is also required to submit declaration in the proforma (see
APPENDIX-III) at least 7 days prior to the date of examination in order to allow us to
verify the details.
