Community Rules (Prohibited Activity and Content)
Last updated: 1 June 2026
1. About these Rules
Chesser Resources (the “Service”) is home to a community of students, teachers, and self-learners. Like any community, we have standards. Our goal is to keep the Service a useful, safe place to find and share study materials.
These rules govern the content our members upload and publish. Content that breaks these rules may be removed at any time. We may also disable the account of any user who violates our Terms of Service, our Uploader Agreement, or these rules — or who fails to fix a violation after being notified.
Illegal activity is strictly prohibited, and we cooperate with law enforcement investigations where appropriate. These rules add to, and work alongside, the restrictions in our Terms of Service.
2. Harassment and Threatening Behaviour
You may not use any part of the Service — including titles, descriptions, and uploaded documents — to defame, harass, abuse, threaten, intimidate, or degrade others. We also prohibit any content or activity that promotes hatred, bigotry, or harm toward others. We decide, at our discretion, what counts as abusive.
3. Account Rules
We take action — up to and including account suspension — when an account egregiously breaks our policies, or when a member repeatedly breaks a policy after being notified. When you create an account, you agree that you will not:
- Create one or more accounts to harass, embarrass, or expose private information about a living person.
- Use lewd, obscene, or offensive usernames, profile descriptions, or profile photos.
- Run bots, scrapers, spiders, or other automated tools through your account.
- Mislead other users about the content uploaded to your account.
- Create accounts to evade a previous ban or suspension.
- Create duplicate accounts, manually or automatically.
- Post your own or another member’s account details on a public website.
- Impersonate another living person, group, or organization, or falsely claim affiliation with any person or entity.
- Use the Service if you are under 18 years of age.
- Use the Service for any illegal or unlawful purpose.
4. Content Rules
We limit the content members can upload. You agree not to upload content that:
- Is illegal, or promotes or enables illegal activity.
- Violates any applicable law or regulation.
- Exploits or endangers minors in any way. Content that depicts minors in a sexual, violent, or otherwise exploitative context is strictly forbidden.
- Infringes the copyright, patents, trade marks, trade secrets, or other intellectual property rights of any person or entity.
- Violates the privacy or personal rights of others, even where the information is publicly available elsewhere. Personal information in public records must be fully redacted — unreadable to both humans and machines — before posting. Personal information includes, but is not limited to, home addresses, national or social identification numbers, payment card details, phone numbers, signatures, arrest records, political affiliation, grades, test results, medical records, disabilities, and sexual orientation. You may not post images of other people without their consent or an appropriate licence.
- Contains, collects, or solicits personal information about anyone under 18.
- Solicits personal information about anyone for commercial or unlawful purposes.
- Exposes private or deleted communications — messages, emails, posts, chat logs — without the consent of all parties.
- Defames, harasses, abuses, threatens, or degrades others.
- Promotes hatred, bigotry, or harm toward others based on race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, class, caste, disease, or disability.
- Promotes or celebrates terrorism or terrorist organizations.
- Promotes or encourages self-harm or suicide.
- Is intended to deceive or defraud users of the Service.
- Facilitates the piracy of books, films, music, software, or any other media.
- Includes unclear, hidden, misleading, deceptive, or malicious links.
- Is laid out or composed to obscure its true intent or origin.
- Is designed primarily to manipulate search engine rankings.
- Makes unsolicited offers, including offers linking to third-party sites.
- Exposes passwords, account data, or other private account information.
- Alters or falsifies public records (including through titles and descriptions), unless the change is to redact personal information.
- Displays gratuitously violent, gory, or sexually violent imagery.
- Displays pornographic or sexually explicit imagery.
- Is inaccurate.
- Misrepresents or disguises the source, identity, authorship, or content of information.
- Was taken from another member’s account.
- Is duplicative or substantially similar to other content you (or people affiliated with you) have uploaded, whether in one account or across several.
5. Academic Cheating and Plagiarism
We do not allow content that facilitates academic cheating or plagiarism, and we do not condone using the Service for those purposes. You agree not to upload content, or use the Service in any way, that:
- Promotes cheating, plagiarism, or any form of academic dishonesty.
- Provides or links to “course packs,” “test banks,” “cheat guides,” or any material that supplies answers to specific course, quiz, test, or exam questions.
- Infringes the intellectual property rights of educational content providers, institutions, instructors, students, or other rightsholders.
- Offers any guarantee, explicit or implied, of grades or exam results.
- Violates an academic code of conduct or ethics.
These rules do not list every situation in which content or activity may be prohibited. We reserve the right to remove content and restrict account access for any reason. Questions about these rules can be sent to [support@chesserresources.com] or through our Contact page.
