BEFORE YOU START

What you need

You'll need two things: a Claude account (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise) and a Canva

account (free or paid both work). The Canva connector is available on all Canva plans, but

some features like resizing and brand templates require a paid Canva plan.

PART 1

Connect Canva to Claude

This takes about 2 minutes. You only have to do it once.

Open Claude Settings

Go to claude.ai and log in. Click on Customize in the sidebar, then look for the

Connectors section.

Find and connect Canva

Click the + icon and select Browse Connectors. Find Canva in the list and click on it.

Claude will ask you to sign into your Canva account and approve the connection.

Enable Canva in your chat

Start a new chat in Claude. Click the settings icon inside the chat window and toggle

Canva on under Connectors. You're now connected.

Create your first design

Now that Canva is connected, there are two ways to create designs. Pick the one that fits your

workflow.

Option A: Use Claude Design (Recommended)

Go to claude.ai/design. This is a dedicated design tool where you can create

prototypes, carousels, presentations, and more. Enter your project name, pick a

starting mode (like high fidelity), and describe what you want. You can even upload

screenshots of designs you like as reference. When you're done, export directly to

Canva.

Option B: Use the Canva connector in chat

In any Claude chat with Canva enabled, just ask Claude to create a design. For
